Nice to Meet you!
Welcome — I’m Brittany Mohyeddin, the founder of Elephant Ear Counselling. I’m genuinely glad you’re here.
Elephant Ear Counselling was created from a deep desire to offer a space where people feel safe, heard, and supported as they grow. The name is inspired by elephants and their remarkable emotional lives — their capacity for grief, compassion, and connection mirrors the way families mourn, protect, and care for one another. That spirit guides the work we do together.
I practice from a multitheoretical, trauma‑informed, and family/client‑centred approach. In our sessions, you can expect a balance of structure and flexibility. If you prefer clear direction and practical strategies, I’m happy to provide them. If you feel more at home in expressive or exploratory work, we can create space for that too. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in the way that feels most meaningful to you.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and I have extensive experience working with high‑conflict families, trauma processing, parenting challenges, and immigration experiences.
On a personal note, I’ve been married for eight years. My husband and I share two wonderful children. These roles have shaped how I understand people, relationships, and resilience — and they deeply influence the compassion and perspective I bring to my clinical work.
My hope is that our time together is grounded in honesty, connection, and moments of genuine laughter. I firmly believe that joy and humour have a meaningful place in the therapeutic space.
